Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 05/10/2017 This smoothie was easy to make and is delicious and nutritious. Instead of plain yogurt unsweetened almond was used. I doubled the receipe and had enough smoothies for two days of breakfast and a snack. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 06/23/2015 My 7yr old and I both ADORE this recipe. Like most people, we did make some personal adjustments. I add flax seed, use vanilla greek yogurt instead of plain, and add a bit of spinach. She enjoys more if I add a few strawberries to it as well :) Is also wonderful with almond milk instead of the OJ. I most definitely recommend! Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 08/18/2013 I found adding honey too sweet for my taste, so I used Vanilla yogurt instead of plain. Very good! Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 06/21/2013 This is interesting tasting! it's good, but different. Main thing is, use ice and if you don't have ice, freeze your bananas in lieu of the ice. Either way, have it cold. I had it room temp due to running out of ice and it wasn't as good, until I stuck it in the fridge and got it cold. It's healthy and good for you! Sometimes I add a granny smith apple! Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 06/01/2013 So delicious! Made this substituting almond milk for yogurt and agave for the honey and it is heavenly. Great for breakfast, creamy, the orange juice gives it a creamsicle taste and the avocado and banana are filling enough that you feel like it is all you need for breakfast. Try it, you won't be disappointed! Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 04/20/2013 This is really good. The family didn't like it, but I love it. I entered the ingredients I used to come up with nutritional values. I made the recipe as is except used 1/8 c blue agave and 1/8 c honey. I also did not have fresh oranges, but used 12 oz of Tropicana Pure Premium OJ. It made 40 oz so a 10 oz serving is 163 calories; 28 carbs; 5 g fat; 5 g protein;14 sodium; 20 sugar. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/27/2013 Loved this smoothie recipe with the adaptions of the other reviews (e.g., almond milk, lime juice, etc.) I also added 2 scoops of whey for a protein punch. Just wish the recipe would have included nutritional values. Did I miss that? Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/16/2013 LOVE this!!! I doubled the banana, 1/2 cup almond milk instead of yogurt since that is what I had on hand. This was before school breakfast for me and the kids, made just the right amount for 4. I will add chia seed next time for added protein but this recipe is a keeper. My 4 year old loved it, and she is not an avocado fan. Creamy with a hint of OJ Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/15/2013 In all honesty... this is the best smoothie I have ever had. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 10/12/2012 My husband would not eat avocado's before. After making this smoothie once, it was over. He now brings avocado's home all the time. Orange is too acidic for me if I have too much, so, I actually do 6 oz lime juice and 6 oz orange juice, and instead of all honey I make it with 1/8 cup agave and 1/8 cup honey...it's absolutely delicious. Whenever I see avocado's, I know my hubs wants a smoothie for breakfast the next day. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 06/20/2012 We loved this smoothie! I used a little less honey than called for, but other than that I stuck with the recipe, didn't measure the ice, just threw it in until I got the consistency I wanted. Great Smoothie! Martha Stewart Member Rating: 4 stars 02/25/2012 Made this it, however I didn't have orange juice I had marmalade, it was good. I think making it how the recipe calls will be very good. Very filling. I felt good about eating this!!Martha Stewart Member
