Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/30/2014 This smoothie is delicious. I used the given ingredients and added 1/2 cup of grated ginger, 1/2 cup kiwi, 1 tsp of brown sugar...Yummy! Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 10/22/2013 If I had to describe this smoothie in one word, it would be "delightful". Creamy and delicious but not overly sweet. Add more water to thin it out if desired. I think it's great as is but I have on occasion used coconut milk in place of the water which was excellent! I've read that it wasn't sweet enough for some people and I suggest adding either some raw honey or try adding 1/2 an apple. I highly recommend this recipe as is but don't be afraid to customize it to your preference. Enjoy! Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 09/06/2013 This was amazing. I used a soft, ripe avocado, which I couldn't taste past a slight creaminess, and Julep Mint. I This turned out sweet, refreshing, and tasty. This has become a post-cleanse favorite. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 07/24/2013 So very sadly....NOT DELICIOUS!! Needs honey or something. The added mint made it very "earthy" to say it nicely. I had to force it down just so I didn't starve at work today. Moving on to the Mango Tahini Smoothie. I already make an awesome mango pineapple smoothy so I am sure this has to better than the blueberry pond sludge. Yuck....sorry to be so honest...but yuck! Martha Stewart Member Rating: 4 stars 03/21/2013 Don't be shy with the mint because it adds so much dimension. This is a very filling and smooth smoothie with the avocado. Yum! Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 03/11/2013 It tastes..fresh, healthy and clean. Definitely tasted the avocado and mint the most, but I'm not complaining about that because this is a detox diet so I'm going to suck it up..literally. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 03/04/2013 I love the blueberry/mint smoothie concept. Orange juice makes my stomach hurt, so I added pomegranate juice instead and a little almond milk. Minus the avocado, and it was yum! Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 02/21/2013 Love the ingredients in this smoothie! I've made it several times, altering or adding a few ingredients that I had on hand. Last time I added a collard green leaf and left out the avocado since I had some for lunch in the broccoli soup (also part of this plan). I also added a bit more OJ and less mint to balance the flavors more toward my sweet tooth. Martha Stewart Member Rating: 4 stars 02/18/2013 On day 3 of detox, this was my favorite of the smoothies so far but it lacked in sweetness and a whole 1/2 cup of mint was a little over whelming so I'm going to substitute for a 1/4 cup tomorrow and add either a banana or some agave nectar :) Martha Stewart Member Rating: 3 stars 02/17/2013 Very thick (perhaps let frozen blueberries thaw more) but this makes two 8 oz glasses, so by the second glass was full and didn't mind the crushed mint as much. Still missing sweetness. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 02/13/2013 Made this and loved it! Except I left out the mint. I hate mint. The frozen berries make this nice & thick. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 02/11/2013 I am wrapping up week 1 of this detox. This has been quite a feat. This smoothie was absolutely delightful! If my tongue could reach to the bottom of the glass I would have licked it clean. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/30/2013 I substituted blackberries for the blueberries because we live in an area where it's too expensive to get blueberries. I thought the combination was too bright for me but that may have had to do with the blackberry substitution. So the second time I added a half of banana and it was awesome. Loved the mint. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/29/2013 Delicious! Love the hint of mint and I'm not a mint fan. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/26/2013 So far, I can't try any of the other recipies for smoothies because this one is so awesome! Fourth day in a row and still love it. I took the advice of one of these reviews and subbed in almond milk for the water. Totally keeps me full til lunch. YUMMM. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/24/2013 Very nice...I did not have a lemon so I used lime, tasted great. I also used fresh orange juice. What a great combination. Today is starting day 3 of this detox and going well so far. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/23/2013 I might have this smoothie every day - YUM! I made the recipe exactly as written (for the OJ I squeezed a small orange rather than store bought OJ). Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/23/2013 This was a great smoothie! I used lemon mint (growing in my kitchen window) and used almond milk instead of water. Also I used fresh blueberries instead of frozen (cheaper right now). Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/23/2013 I bravely added the avocado and was pleasantly surprised. After the first couple of sips I wasn't sure..but after you sip it for a moment it grows on you. Very rich thick smoothie. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/22/2013 The orange juice did not mix well with the mint for me - I'll be trying it again with apple juice swapped out or just water. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/22/2013 Excellent smoothie (as all others). I'm on my seven day diet program, I lost 3 kg (6.6 lb !!!) and I feel so good! Sure I go on with your 2013 Action Plan. Many thanks!Martha Stewart Member
