Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 12/20/2013 Update: We still love this meal but we have started to substitute the meat for a nitrate-free sausage (we were using kielbasa). Still good but not quite the same and definitely more expensive (the meat costs 3x more now). Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 08/20/2013 This was easy and actually quite tasty. I was suspicious of it, because it contained no seasonings other than salt and pepper, and we love herbs and spices at my house. But I followed the recipe, and was pleasantly surprised. I used a delicious smoked chicken spicy Italian sausage, and I think that the lack of seasoning in the recipe means the sausage you choose will make or break your dish. We don't care for vinegar so I left it out. The onions sweetened up the collards' bitterness nicely. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 07/07/2013 My husband and I both LOVE this dish. It's especially great after a long day at work, knowing dinner will be very easy to prepare. To save time, I often chop the onion and collard greens the night before. Also, I use microwave- cook rice instead, which takes just 90 sec. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 04/06/2013 Very yummy!! Can be served with toasted buttered French bread. Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 02/03/2013 We liked this a lot. Will double the recipe next time. Great inexpensive dinner.Martha Stewart Member
