Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cups mini marshmallows
  • 12 ounces crunchy peanut butter
  • 6 cups puffed rice cereal
  • 2 cups mini pretzels or pretzel sticks, broken into pieces
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped (or chocolate chips)

Directions

Line a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with parchment and coat with nonstick cooking spray.

Melt butter in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add marshmallows and peanut butter to pot and cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture is melted and beginning to bubble, about 3 minutes.

Remove pot from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients until well combined. Transfer to prepared baking dish and smooth top using a spatula. Cool to room temperature.

Use parchment to lift bars from baking dish. Transfer to cutting board and cut into squares to serve.

These taste great! But I have trouble making them! The first time they were hard and it took WAY to L O N G to make them. I kept adding more marshmallows...etc. you had to warm them to eat them!! Second time they are much softer but not sure they are going to stick together to make bars. Very hard to mix I have arthritis, Any help? thanks.

this sounds really good, but how can you make it vegan? I love the show and I want to get more ways to make vegan dishes.

These were "mad dank"! Perfect combination of sweet and salty. Way better than anything we can buy at the store. I love watching your show. Thanks for sharing!

These were fantastic! I omitted the peanut butter, since my two year old son was having them and the whole family loved them. Gotta love that salty-sweet goodness!

This recipe was super easy and although I believe it is best to try a recipe before making amendments, i made this recipe with vegan ingredients and my family loves it.
