My daughter LOVES this recipe! Any time I make 'regular' waffles she asks for gingerbread ones everyday for the next week! Where can you buy the heart shaped waffle maker? I would like to replace my grandmothers for her and can't find it anywhere!!

This is my husband's favorite waffle recipe. It's easy, quick, and tastes like something you'd get in a fine restaurant. Perfect anytime of the year and definitely delicious with the lingonberry preserves! Served these for breakfast at our family reunion, and had to write down multiple copies of the recipe. Thanks, Martha, for making me the hit of the morning!

Me and my wife love this recipe. It is one of the few that you can make substutions to and it still works out. Yogart for the sour cream or what spices you have around that woud also work. This is a quick easy go to recipe in our house.

these were great - smelled wonderful and tasted even better! I had some buttermilk to get rid of, so we used that in place of the milk and added a bit more sugar. I served them with a cranberry-orange compote.
