                Yes, this is simple. Thanks for sharing for those who have seen this done but are not aware of the details. I didn’t even know there was a special name for them! I was looking for how to have blueberries with the syrup and am combining with strawberries, so that should do it. I understood the general principle of the sugar drawing out the liquid inside the strawberries, however I never had looked it up to have a timeframe. How long they can be saved is helpful too.

                I like having lists of simple things to remind me what to do with bulk groceries.  You wouldn't think you need a recipe for something so simple, but it's all you have to do to dress up a fresh berry for topping cake, ice cream, or if you have a toddler who wrinkles his nose at the sourness.

Stir together strawberries and sugar in a medium bowl. Let stand at room temperature until juices are released, at least 30 minutes.
