  • 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Salt and pepper 4 pieces salmon fillet (6 ounces each), with skin Chopped fresh dill (optional)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, mustard, lemon juice, and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper.

Put salmon, skin side down, in a baking dish, and spoon mustard glaze over each piece of fish. Bake until salmon is just cooked through and no longer red, 6 to 8 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped dill, if desired, and serve.

Cook’s Notes To keep the fillets from sticking to the pan, cook them with the skin side of the fish down. Some of the skin may stick to the pan a bit, but you can use a spatula to slide the fillets right off the pan without tearing them.

Martha Stewart Member Rating: 5 stars 09/25/2017 This is definitely one of my go-to recipes. I have made this recipe multiple times and have gotten raves from my family and guests. I have increased the Dijon mustard, I use 2 TBS instead of the 1 specified. Absolutely fabulous!

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/08/2017 made this for dinner and had just a little mustard in the house . I used Kraft Asian dressing just one word described the taste. WOW. thanks for the recipe

Martha Stewart Member Rating: 4 stars 02/04/2015 YUM. My shamelessly bachelor-y version of this made 2 meals out of a $5 piece of salmon, the sauce, angel hair pasta, and some spinach. I made a liberal amount of sauce, and applied it to the salmon and cooked as directed. I also fixed angel hair pasta and used the sauce on THAT, too... and, finally, I threw some spinach into the sauce bowl and called it a light salad with dressing. The salmon and pasta were DELICIOUS together, and I my leftovers + an apple made lunch the next day.

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 01/10/2015 Great recipe! I didn't have any dijon so I used Honey mustard and added a few drops of hot sauce with a pinch of cayenne for a little sweet heat and it was delicious.

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 02/03/2014 I just made this and I am eating it as I write this. I needed something different than just baked salmon. This was a nice twist. Very delicious, simple and minimal ingredients. This made my dinner delicious and to me a little classy. Love this recipe and I will make this again!

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 03/26/2008 A great recipe for a quick week night dinner. We marinated the Salmon first, them grilled the fish fillets (no skin). It took about 6-8 minutes on the grill, depending the doneness you like. I left off the dill, I would also recommend cumin. It is a great rescipe for entertaining!

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 03/17/2008 This recipe was very easy especially for a beginner like me (In n n n n n m learning how to cook). My family liked it. I read the comment by Krix2, and did it that way. My fish took about 20 minutes to fully cook. Also, I did not sprinkle the chopped fresh dill.

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 11/21/2007 Delicious, easy to make, and so few ingredients. Instead of 4 6oz filets, I used about 8 4oz fillets with no skin. I sprayed cooking spray on the bottom of the baking dish, and I doubled the sauce and glazed both sides of the fish before baking. I also used a fish/chicken seasoning instead of regular salt n pepper, in addition to the dill, and it turned out great, so you have some leeway with the spices. My fish took about 15 minutes to fully cook, longer than the 6-8 minutes suggested.
