It tastes delicious. It has to go in the freezer for at least 4 hours to really garden properly. I've added cookie dough to this at the end and Oreo cookies before freezing. Makes a fantastic vanilla or base for other flavors.

It's unfathomable to me how delicious this is. Wow! Super easy but you would never know it from the taste, very, very good. I will definitely be making this again...and again.

Was limited for time so choose this recipe to make. So easy. Used half of a vanilla bean in place of vanilla extract but suggest extract be used because even though vanilla bean added a lot of flavor, the specks all settled to the bottom of the container. Also, used half & half instead of milk. Mine also did not thicken, like the other reviewers, when put into the ice cream machine for 30 minutes but I put it in the freezer and it came out fine. Good tasting! Always can rely on Martha!

I had my doubts after churning (see my last review), but the ice cream did harden nicely. If you plan on making this ice cream, make sure you make it early in the day so it has lots of time to harden. It turned out great and you don't have to worry about using eggs! This is now my base ice cream mix!!

Does not thicken while churning. Hopefully it will thicken in the freezer.
