Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 24 dried longan 24 goji berries 4 pieces sea bass (6 ounces each) 1/2 red bell pepper, seeded, ribs and stems removed, and julienned 1/2 green bell pepper, seeded, ribs and stems removed, and julienned 8 shittake mushrooms, cleaned, stems removed, and julienned 1-inch piece ginger, peeled and julienned Freshly ground white pepper Origami Sauce 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a small bowl mix together dried longan with 1 cup water; set aside until plump. In another small bowl, mix together goji berries with 1 cup water; set aside until plump.

Place one half of each of the parchment paper boxes on a baking sheet; set aside. Place fish pieces on a cutting board with a long end facing you. Cut fish horizontally stopping about 1/2 inch before reaching the opposite side. Open cut fish like a book.

Place one piece of fish in the center of each box. Divide peppers, mushrooms, ginger, dried longan, and wolfberries evenly between each box; season with pepper. Top each with 2 tablespoons of Origami Sauce. Drizzle 1/2 teaspoon around each piece of sea bass.

Cover boxes with remaining half of parchment paper boxes. Transfer baking sheet to oven and roast until fish is cooked through, 10 to 12 minutes. Serve sea bass immediately in their boxes.

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 06/27/2009 I really get bothered by some of the things they put on here whether it be a recipe or a craft...some of this stuff I have never heard of, they need to explain what it is and where to possibly purchase it!

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 10/03/2008 When you say to divide the peppers, mushrooms, etc. between each box, do you mean on the fish or on the parchment paper? That wasn't too clear, although I don't think there would be any room left on the paper after putting the fish there. Also, I don't know what longan or goji berries are. I live in the Northeast and wonder if the Asian markets would have them, as well as wolfberries this time of year? As far as how to make the origami boxes, the template is right on this site.

Martha Stewart Member Rating: Unrated 09/30/2008 Loved the parchement box. I have been cooking fish in parchment for years, but this is certainly a great presentation. Went to your website while watching the show because I was having fish for dinner (not this recipe, but with seasonal vegetables) to get the instructions for making the box. Ahhh...not there, but I did find a website that helped. Most searches brought up a way to make a square box with extra paper in the middle..........finally one that made a rectangle. Thanks.
