These were easy and delicious to make! I did not coat them with too much sugar though. My boys gobbled them up!
Responding to NWKelli--I just heated the oil on medium and dropped a small piece of dough in..once it rose and started to sizzle then I dropped the rest in

I made these doughnuts and I have to say that I was dissapointed. The dough was hard and it calls for 2 teaspoons of salt which is to much salt for a doughnut recipe. They had an awful taste. I wind up throwing them out.

Can anyone who has made this recommend a temperature for the oil?

This is so easy and very yummy! Don't want to eat too many. I used pizza dough from the tube and it worked out good.

I would use Canola oil for this recipe; usually a good bet. You want to choose an oil that won't burn at high temperatures -- peanut oil is among the best. This recipe looks easy and yummy! I think I'll try it this weekend!

Umm, what's frying oil? I know what it is, but what should I use? Canola oil, vegetable oil, etc., ?
