                This is such a simple but delicious salad.  I must admit to adding chopped celery and toasted pine nuts.  The perfect companion to a big Italian feast.  I didn't realize how easy it is to prepare romaine hearts and how lovely the ribbons look in the salad bowl.  I will go to this lettuce more often now that I've discovered it!  We are a "have to have a salad" family and this one is quick to prepare...I was pleased with this recipe.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Directions

In a large bowl, whisk vinegar, oil, and Italian seasoning until combined; season with salt and pepper.

Add romaine; toss to coat.
