                As long as you follow the instructions EXACTLY and do not put it onto a warm cake, this will be the most delicious, creamy and addicting icing you will ever make for a baked confection in your life.  Everyone I know always asks if I have extra icing, but of course there never is any left!  Worth the time and effort.  :)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cold heavy cream
  • 1 pound mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted

Directions

Whisk heavy cream with a mixer on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Whisk together mascarpone and sugar in a bowl until smooth. Fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture. Use immediately.
