                I served this at Thanksgiving - it was a hit!  The blend of flavors is wonderful.  Note: Dry Sack is an Amontillado-style sherry.

  • 1 1/2 ounces Willett 4 Year Rye
  • 1/2 ounce Amaro Meletti
  • 1/2 ounce Leopold Brothers New York Sour Apple Liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce Hidalgo Amontillado sherry
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 piece lemon rind, 3/4 inch wide and 2 1/2 inches long

Directions

Gently stir together liquids in an ice-filled cocktail shaker, then strain into a double old-fashioned glass filled with fresh ice. Twist lemon rind over drink to express its oil, then use the peel as a garnish.
