I liked this frosting, I only added one cup of powdered sugar instead of two so it wouldn't be a sweet and it's amazing

It's more of a glaze than an icing. Texture is weird.

The first time I made it it was a little runny, but still tasted amazing! Second time I packed the sugar a little bit( so I added a little more) and it was perfect! I’m so glad I found this recipe!

Yum! I loved it I had to add more sugar and vanilla to make it thick and so it had more flavour.I also had to use an electronic mixer to make it smooth. But overall delicious!!!

So I made a cake and had no icing when I tried this recipe it was horrible, it was sugary, tastes horrible, and it was really watery. Eating it felt like salt inside it. (Texture) I would not suggest this.

It was a great recipe, made a bit more than 1 cup though. It also called for too much sugar, I used only 1 1/2 cup and it turned out fine. If anyone were to only use 1 and 1/2 cup, I would recommend to use 1 tablespoon of milk instead of 2. Overall great recipe though!

terrific, easy recipe. I'm pretty sure that the folks who had a problem did not use CONFECTIONERS sugar. I made a double batch as I needed to frost a 9x13 cake and the amount was perfect!

This is a perfect recipe. Double it to frost a 2 layer cake. As it is, its perfect for 12 cupcakes. Some people left nasty comments... not sure what they did wrong. Maybe they weren't using an electric mixer to cream the frosting (beginners). Also, I always add extra milk only drop by drop, if it's too thick. Humidity varies for different climates. Go easy on Martha, she was a cake master long before most of your parents even met. If you messed this recipe up, just stop... you're a terrible chef.

if i want to cover a whole normal sized cake by how many times do i have to multiply these ingredients? i also would like to do a layer of frosting in the middle. since the recipe is for 1 cup?

This was very simple to make and I had all of the ingredients on hand. I did end up using about 2.5 Tablespoons of whole milk to achieve a consistency I wanted.

The recipe didn't advise to use a paddle or whisk attachment. I used a whisk and it was perfect. This was my first time making frosting and I was amazed how simple it was...no need for store bought stuff!

This recipe is AMAZING!! I've been searching for a recipe for a thick frosting like the store bought one an this is even better! It is so simple and takes about 5 min. Plus most people have these ingredients on hand. Ofcourse if you wish for a thinner frosting you can thin it out by mixing in a little more milk until your desired consistency.
